Hannah Cyr Buffalo, New York Obituary, Death: It is with the heaviest of hearts that we share the devastating news of the sudden passing of Hannah St. Cyr, a cherished first-grade student at Park School and a radiant light within our Kadimah Scholars community. Hannah’s untimely departure has left a profound void in the hearts of all who knew her, from her classmates and teachers to the many families who were fortunate to witness her joyful presence and kind spirit.

Hannah was known for her bright smile, boundless energy, and the warmth she shared so generously with those around her. Whether she was engaging with friends on the playground, participating in classroom activities, or joining in on community events, Hannah’s presence brought happiness and connection. Her kindness, compassion, and vibrant personality touched many lives, and her memory will continue to do so for years to come.

This loss is deeply personal not only because of who Hannah was but also because of her family’s deep involvement in our community. Her mother, Ashley St. Cyr, is a dedicated member of our Kadimah Scholars board, whose unwavering commitment to Jewish education and values has inspired many. Ashley has given her time, heart, and leadership to strengthen our program and ensure its growth for future generations. Her husband Doug, and their extended family, including Ashley’s parents Bruce and Marianne Wisbaum, have also been active supporters of our community.

In this time of mourning, we extend our deepest condolences, prayers, and love to the St. Cyr family. We stand with them in sorrow, honoring Hannah’s memory and offering our support however we can. As a Jewish community, we draw strength from one another in the face of tragedy, and we hold tightly to the belief that the soul of the departed is lifted through acts of kindness, remembrance, and unity.

A funeral service for Hannah will be held this Friday at 10:00 AM at Temple Beth Tzedek, located at 1641 N. Forest Road in Williamsville, NY. All who wish to honor her life and support her family are welcome to attend. Shiva will be observed on Sunday from 3:00 to 5:00 PM at the home of Bruce and Marianne Wisbaum, located at 60 Contessa Court, Williamsville, NY.

We pray that Hannah’s neshama (soul) will have an aliyah — a spiritual elevation — and that her memory will forever be a blessing to those who loved her. May her family find comfort among the mourners of Zion and Jerusalem, and may they feel the embrace of a community that grieves with them.

May Hannah rest in peace, and may we carry her light forward in our hearts.
